How do I configure HorizonLink Mesh on the Bots and Commander

HorizonLink is our solution for Offgrid connections up to 10nm from the Commander.

A physical Mesh receiver is required on the Commander side and on each Bot that you want to control.  The device has a solar panel built-in so you never need to charge it.

NOTE 1: If you are part of multiple organizations, HorizonLink only works on your primary org.

NOTE 2: On the Commander side, you must be running Android with the MarkSetBot Toolkit 3.0.83+.  The Bots must be running Bot Phone 1.704+.

NOTE 3: It is required to have a ProNav paired to each Bot Phone for HorizonLink to auto provision.

The first step is to pair your phone or tablet with the HorizonLink antenna over Bluetooth.  You will see a device name like "HRZN_xxxx".  The "xxxx" matches up to the 4 digit serial label.  Use the Android Bluetooth menu to pair the device and use 135700 as the pin. 

If you have a Samsung device and don't see any HRZN_xxxx device, you will need to do the pairing with our HorizonLink Management tool.  This only has to be done the first time you pair.  Do NOT connect to the device via this software ONLY use it to Scan and then Pair

The second step is to pair a Mesh unit to each Bot Phone.  Make sure to update your Bot Phone to 1.704+ first.  You can then search via the Bot Phone GUI or have support trigger a search for you remotely. 

After that, you can force a Navigate, Anchor, or Stop command by holding down those buttons in the bottom menu of Commander.  If internet goes down on a Bot, all commands will route through the Mesh automatically.

Problem Solving

1) If you have issues sending commands, try restarting the MarkSetBot Toolkit and each Bot Phone.  At startup, both applications send provisioning information to the network

2) If that doesn't work, you should reset the mesh network which is done in Commander in two steps.  The first is to go to Menu > Logs > Reset HorizonLink and send that command to all the Bots (they must have internet access when you do that).  After that, hold your finger down on the "HL" in the upper right corner of Commander inside the MarkSetBot Toolkit and that will trigger a reset of the device connected to your phone/tablet.
